A great recipe for using up dried ends of cheese!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
2 cups grated cheese
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, beaten
4 slices wholemeal bread, toasted
Method:
Heat milk and cheese over very low heat until cheese melts and mixture is smooth. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
Gradually stir beaten egg into cheese mixture. Continue to cook until rabbit thickens and becomes creamy. Spoon over toast slices.
Optional: place a slice of fresh tomato or chunks of tuna on each slice of toast before pouring the sauce over.
Cheapskates variations:
Use powdered skim milk to replace fresh.
Use MOO Worcestershire sauce
Use the crusts of the loaf for the toast.
