Today we’re setting our personal Christmas rules.

Not because we want Christmas to feel strict or joyless — goodness no. We’re setting them because Christmas rules are how we protect our peace and our purse.

By December, it can be very easy to get swept up in the noise.
One more gift.
One more outing.
One more plate to take.
One more decoration.
One more “just in case” food shop.
One more yes when we really needed to say, “Not this year.”

So today we’re deciding early what matters, what fits the budget, and what we can gently let go.

Your Christmas rules might be:
No credit cards.
No last-minute panic gifts.
No buying decorations.
No cooking food nobody eats.
No saying yes to everything.
No guilt spending.
No blowing the grocery budget for extras we don’t need.

These rules aren’t mean. They’re kind. They give December-you a little breathing room.

Today’s simple task: write three Christmas rules.

Pop them in your Christmas planner and let them guide you when the silly season starts getting loud.

What is one Christmas rule that would make your December calmer?
