Daisy Dishcloth

I love this crocheted dishcloth, the pattern is my go-to for a quick, easy, round dishcloth that even a beginner could create.

I've adapted the pattern slightly from the orignal, which was on the back of a Bernat Handicrafter Cotton label.

Bernat Handicrafter Cotton is my dishcloth yarn of choice. It comes in an amazing range of colours and the big 400g - 500g balls are great value for money.

I use 4.5mm knitting needles or 5.5mm crochet hook with this yarn, they give the right tension for my work.

This is a very quick pattern, only six rounds to work and the dishcloth is done!

To start: Make a magic circle and chain 3.
Round 1: Work 10 double crochet around the magic circle. Ignore the 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet. 10 dc.

Round 2: Chain 3. Work 2 double crochet in the same space as the 3 chain, then work 2 double crochet in each double crochet around the ring. Ignore the 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet. 20 dc.

Round 3. Chain 3. Work 2 double crochet in the same space as the3 chain, then work 2 double crochet in each double crochet around the ring. Ingorn the 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet. 40 dc.

Round 4: Chain 3. Work 1 double crochet in the same space and the 3 chain, then work 1 double crochet in each of the next 2 double crochet, then 2 double crochet in the next double crochet. *Work 1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochet then 2 double crochet in the next double crochet. Repeat from * to end. Ignore the 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet. 50 dc

Round 5: Chain 3. Work 1 double crochet in the same space, then 1 double crochet in each double crochet around the circle. Ignore the 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet. 50 dc.

Round 6. Chain 3. Work 5 double crochet in the same space, *skip 1 double crochet, single crochet into the next double crochet, skip 1 double crochet, work 5 double crochet into the next double crochet. Repeat from * to end. Ignor 3 chain and join with a slip stitch into the bottom of the first double crochet. Chain 2, cut thread, pull tight to fasten off. Darn in ends.
