A Folio Card Kit Gift Idea
This is a lovely quick and easy gift idea you can whip up using what you have.
There are no special tools or equipment required, other than a pencil, a ruler, a pair of scissors and some adhesive. Of course you can use a paper trimmer and a scoreboard if you have them, but they're not necessary, and that means anyone can create one of these lovely folios.
You will need:
1 sheet double-sided DSP or scrapbooking paper measuring 12" x 12"
Scrap of cardstock or DSP/scrapbooking paper
Length of ribbon or twine
Adhesive - liquid glue or tape runner or double sided tape

Scrap of cardstock or DSP/scrapbooking paper

Adhesive - liquid glue or tape runner or double sided tape
Step 1. Score the DSP on one side at 7-1/4" adn 10-3/4". If the paper has a directional pattern, place it so the top of the pattern is to the right.
Step 2. Rotate 90 degrees and score at 6" - the middle of the sheet.
Step 3. Fold up on the 7-1/4" score line, then turn down the 10-3/4" score line to form a flap. Burnish well
Step 4. Then hold your fingers against the 6" score line, and gently fold, using fingers and bone folder to get it as square as possible.
Step 5. Using the scrap of DSP or csrdstock, make two gussets measuring 1" x 3.25" and score at .5". These give the pocket space so the cards fit nicely. Fold and burnish then trim a shallow angle cut from the fold to the end on the top and bottom ends of both pieces. Use liquid glue to stick one side of the gusset on the flap, running the fold along the edge of the DSP. Put glue on the top and lay the folder over to seal the gussets into the pocket. Round all the corners if desired.
Step 6. To close the pocket use tape or glue along the edge of the flap. Before you close the flap, add your ribbon. Find the centre and put it on the centre score line. Fold the flap over to seal it shut.
Decorate the front if desired.
Add your cards - it will hold up to 8 A6 cards and envelopes.
