My Device Book = Stress Free Recovery After a Hard Drive Failure - May 2018
My computer hard drive recently failed and needed to be replaced. Of course, this happened unexpectedly and my computer was so shot that it was impossible to complete a final backup to my external hard drive to save all of my data. But all was not lost since I keep a book with the details of all my devices. Recording these details now will save you hours later!
I organise my book by each device. I have a page for installed apps; all installed programs, details of its product key and expiry date, and any custom settings I use; the screen layout of apps (for smartphones/tablets); and the URL (website address) for all apps and programs for easy reinstallation.
