31 Days of MOO 2016: No. 30 MOO Warm Oil Hand Treatment
Manicurists charge $15 - $40 for a warm oil hand treatment. They're good, leaving your hands and nails soft and moisturised. But why would you pay that much when you can MOO a treatment at home for around 50 cents?
You will need:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 drop lavender essential oil (yes, just 1 drop)
A pair of disposable plastic gloves (or two disposable sandwich bags/freezer bags)
Step 1. Place the oil in a microwave-safe dish and heat on MEDIUM HIGH for 10 seconds until it is warmed (be careful not to overheat - you don't want to get burned). Add lavender essential oil and stir well to combine.
Step 2. Massage the oil into your hands, paying particular attention to your nails and cuticles. Put the gloves on (or put your hands into the plastic bags). Wrap a warm hand towel over your hands. Sit and relax for 5 minutes.
Step 3. Remove your hands from the bags. Wash in warm water, massaging away the oil. Pat dry with a soft, clean towel. Massage in your favourite hand cream.
A weekly warm oil treatment will keep your hands beautifully soft and smooth.
