A Simple Grocery Shopping Challenge
If, like most families, you are spending more than you can afford or want to each month on groceries then I have a challenge for you.
As you walk around the supermarket, checking your shopping list (you do use a shopping list don't you?) I want you to stop and think about what you are putting in your trolley.
As you pick up each item ask yourself these questions:
Then, before you get to the checkout, I want you to choose one item in the trolley and put it back on the shelf.
Just one item from the trolley.
If you do this each time you go into a supermarket it won't be very long before you have cut the number of items you are buying and increasing your grocery savings, giving you more money to direct into other areas.
It's just a simple challenge and I'm not going to be checking up on you but if you want to share how you are doing, what you've put back and how much you've saved I'd sure love to hear from you. You can email me here and put August challenge at the top of your message.

- Do I really need it?
- Do I really want it?
- Do I have another (put item here) that will do the same job?
- Can I substitute (put item here) for this?
