Keeping used hankies in the purse is no fun.... buying little purse packs of tissues is expensive, and tissues aren't quite enough for accidental spills in the car. I have a box of snack sized ziplock bags, so I take and fold individual (budget) tissues, and single sheets of kitchen paper, and tuck the folded tissues into the snack bag. it is small enough for the handbag, stays nice and dry, and there is even a tiny bit of space for a small plastic bag for the used ones.... saving money, time and a lot of yuk in any season

​Saving on Lactose Free Milk

Approximate $ Savings: $336 per year

Liddells Lactose Free Skim Milk costs us about $2.20 per litre. We used to use Woolies Homebrand skim milk powder, one kilo makes approximately ten litres, which costs approximately $6. I purchased Lacteeze drops (often used for babies), one bottle is enough to make approximately thirty litres of milk and costs around $20. Thirty litres of Liddell's milk costs $66. By using generic milk powder and the Lacteeze drops our saving per month is $28 (we use around seven litres of milk a week). Over a year that is a huge saving of $336, not to mention the saving in convenience, time and petrol to go to shops. Quick and easy instructions are on the packet, it is pleasant with no extra taste as it does not alter the taste of milk, unlike many lactose free milk products, except for Liddells milk.
