Dear Cath - February 2020
Q. How can stubborn stains be removed from the toilet bowl? We live in a Septic system home. Mary
A. Hello Mary, The easiest way to remove stubborn stains in the toilet bowl is with citric acid. Flush, then sprinkle over the stains while still wet. Leave overnight, give a scrub with the brush then flush the next morning. Depending on how old the stains are you may need to do this a few times.
Otherwise good old fashioned pumice stone and rubber gloves and scrub until the stains are gone.
