Keeping Moths at Bay

Mix a small amount of lavender oil in a spray bottle of water & wipe down when cleaning your shelves. Using dried lavender in the corners helps as well. Also I keep things in plastic boxes in the hard- to- get- to spaces. I can see what is in there quickly.

Sound Bar Saving $150+

Being deaf, even wearing my hearing aids, I found the tv sound creeping up with each different programme (much to the annoyance of my family). The cheapest sound bar I could find didn't exactly have a good reputation for the amount being paid. My son was upgrading his computer and no longer needed his speakers so I attached them to my TV - problem solved. They work great and even better look good as well.

Animal Friendly Air Disinfectant/Deodoriser

You need a clean fresh spray bottle, vodka, boiled cooled water, food grade flavours (like Queens used for baking).

Fill the bottle with:
1/4 vodka ( cheapest is best)
3/4 boiled, cooled water
Several drops of your favourite food grade flavouring used for cooking, I use Queens lemon and orange. Give it a really good shake to start, then a quick shake every time you use it. Most deodorisers/disinfectants you can’t spray when there are pets in the room, this one you can. Depending on the scent you use (most cats and dogs don’t like cinnamon), it lasts and you can use it on pet bedding, teenage shoes, as a quick furniture duster, even in your car. One spray bottle costs about $7 (vodka) but will last for months.

Never Have a Credit Card Late Fee Again

Often life gets in the way and we forget to pay our credit card on time . The penalty can be $25 each month you are late
To avoid this set up a monthly automatic payment of $25 from your bank to your credit card and no more late fees!

MOO Honey Peanut Butter

I am now making homemade peanut butter. So easy.
750g salted roasted home-brand peanuts
honey
olive oil
I don't really use any measurements, just what I think will fit into a small jar.
All you have to do is put peanuts into the food processor and whizz. Add honey to desired taste and a bit of olive oil for consistency. Keep whizzing until you have a smooth paste. This doesn't last long as we cant stop eating it. I have made three batches so far and it keeps getting better as I adjust the amount of ingredients. Will never buy shop bought again.
