Tip Store: Shopping: Loyalty Programmes

Win/Win with Coles Petrol and FlyBuys

Whilst I do most of my shopping at Aldi for cheaper prices, I am still with the FlyBuys scheme with Coles as I know all the ins and outs to receive rewards. One tip that many people don't know is to keep your 4c saving on your Coles receipt. When purchasing petrol at Coles Express (look for days when prices are low), I fill my tank and although it is not marked as a promotion if you buy $20 worth of goods you will get 10c off your petrol. I always buy 2 Quilton packs of toilet paper as it is the same price as in Coles. I then go to pay and present my coupon and Fly Buys card. In summary, I have saved about $12 off my petrol, made a purchase for something I need and have racked up more FlyBuys points on my total. They also have many competitions just for buying $30 of petrol or more which is an added bonus.

5% Discount off at Woolworths and Cash Back

Regarding 5% Discount off your Groceries at Woolworths in your latest newsletter, you can buy 5% discount WISH eGift card at Cashrewards (www.cashrewards.com.au) and PricePal (pricepal.com.au). These 2 websites are free to sign up! (You don't have to be a NRMA member). You can also get cashback or discounts when you shop at certain websites such as eBay, David Jones, Target, Chemist Warehouse, Dan Murphy's and many, many more. Before you shop online, you should check these websites. You may be able to get cash back or discounts. I save more than $1,000 a year using these 2 websites.

Cash Back for Shopping

I have discovered this amazing website that really does pay you to shop! http://www.cashrewards.com.au is an Australian web site that gives you a percentage of your total spend (less GST, delivery etc) back after you shop. They have a huge range of stores covering items such as clothes, shoes, chemist, travel bookings, etc. All you have to do is go to this website first, then click through to the store you want to shop at and shop as normal (you pay the store direct and they send your gods as normal). There are also extra savings coupons etc so you can save even more!

I have got more than $300 back since joining only 18 months ago - you can withdraw to your bank account, or leave it there, building and growing until you need some extra cash (e.g.: Christmas presents).

So happy I have found this website to help me save on the things I was buying anyway.
