Tip Store: Cleaning: Magic Mops

Old Fashioned Cleaners Cheaper than Oil Mops

Mitre10 at Chelsea were selling them off at a very reduced price. This often seems to mean that the item is going out of production in favour of a new style and you will need to purchase another mop. Far cheaper to use the old fashioned cleaners e.g. vinegar, bleach, ammonia etc

Source Magic Mop Refills from Manufacturer

Check the brand and contact the company as they will have their nearest supplier I recently lost the instruction to a Sabco mop and they were only to happy to send a photo copy.

Homemade Magic Mop Refill

I haven't been able to get the oil refills for a few years so came up with the idea of buying a bottle of furniture oil polish and pouring some into a dish and soaking the mop in it for a couple of hours. The mop absorbs the oil and works a treat for dusting and polishing. The bottle of oil lasts forever and is a lot cheaper than the refills.

Magic Mop Discontinued by Available on eBay

I used to use them too; they aren't available in shops anymore. I recently sold my remaining stock on ebay because my handle broke after many years of use. You might be able to buy more stashes on ebay - at a discounted price to retail.
