Download Music Legally and for Less
Approximate $ Savings: 20+ per CD
If you want to download cheap, LEGAL music from the web try this website- Go Music - http://www.gomusic.ru/. Go Music is russian based, completely legal and is NOT shareware. It has hundreds of thousands of songs -including all latest artists - available for download. The songs cost as little as $0.10 each and are cheaper still if you buy whole albums. All the music is guarenteed to be high quality and virus free. The site is really easy to use. All transactions are in US dollars. The support they provide is excellent and they give you credit points for using them (I recently got 20 songs for free because I downloaded several albums) You need to create an account and put a minimum amount of $$$ into your account with them - I think this is about $25USD - that will buy you a LOT of songs! Once the account is created you have download access to the entire music database. I recently bought The Ting Tings, Kings of Leon and ACDC albums all for average $1.35USD each- that's for the whole albums!! As most people use ipods now, you can download to your ipod or if you are like me- you can create CDs of the albums you download easily. This site was recommended to me about five years ago as a cheap and legal way to get music on the web. I have not bought a CD of an international artist since. Saving me lots of money as I pay roughly $2.50AUD per album I buy - as opposed to paying $21 - $35 per CD in the shops. There are two drawbacks to this site: the site does not have much Aussie music on it- but I don't mind paying $20+ for Aussie music when I am getting all the other music so cheaply! And of course, you don't get CD's with all the lovely pics or lyrics etc but as most people download music these days anyway I don't think that is too big a deal.

Playing a Savings Melody
Approximate $ Savings: $25
I live in Canada now. I miss my music. I go across the road to a Senior Centre where they have a Market. I buy my CD's, all in good order for $1 each. Because one was a set of Hymnal music it was just 50c! I have a fairly large collection now in 4 months and all for well under the price of buying from music stores.
