Prolong the Life of Your Flip Flop Footwear - August 2019
A quick repair solution for when the stopper on your foot thong’s toe strap breaks. Use a u-shape plastic bag closure on the underside of the toe strap for an instant repair job. No cost involved and saves you the cost of a new pair of thongs. (Flip flop footwear.)

Editor's note: This works! Wayne broke the stopper off the strap on one of his thongs when we were on the Old Telegraph Track on Cape York, miles from anywhere. We used bread tags to repair them - they were in plentiful supply. We'd just look on the ground every time we stopped and pick up at least one (and people should learn to take all their rubbish with them, including bread tags). He just replaced it every time it broke until we could get a new pair. With regular $2 Kmart thongs seliing for $40 a pair on the Cape, the bread tags were a brilliant option. Cath
