Practical Receiving

Sometimes people ask me what I want for a gift. If I can’t think of anything specific or anything I need at that time I will ask for an everyday item I use such as teabags, soap, talcum powder. This saves me money and I will get something a little more special and expensive than I would buy myself.

Flowers for all Occasions

In the Yellow Pages on the Internet I look up the florists on the particular State and suburb your relative/friend is and call them. All I ever pay is $50 for flowers plus $5 delivery fee because its the same suburb.

Gift Subscriptions

For my friend I bought her a subscription to a magazine for Christmas, the subscription was $70, but with that I also received a free gift of a $79 coffee machine, yep another gift for another person on my list. Around Christmas the companies have great gifts with most subscriptions

Flower Market

Approximate Savings: $20

We all have occasions when we need to buy a bunch of flowers for example the birth of a baby. My sister has been pregnant 3 times and it was then I discovered the value of buying flowers from the flower markets. I was able to mix 3 varieties of flowers that they arranged and tied with ribbon for me and all it cost was $30. I was so pleased with the price I buy them there all the time. The same size bunch from a florist would have cost me $50+. My father also buys from a flower market in the Brisbane area. This great price means you can have flowers in the home more often too.
