31 Days of MOO 2017 No. 13 Mint Sauce
Years ago just about every back yard had mint growing, ours was around the gully trap. These days homes don't seem to have obvious gully traps or mint which is a shame. Fresh mint is so good for so many things, including making this easy sauce.
Ingredients:
500g brown sugar
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
1 1/2 to 2 cups finely chopped mint
Method:
Boil vinegar and sugar for 5 minutes, add mint and pour into sterilized screw top bottles. This sauce keeps in fridge for several months. Can be diluted half and half with water if you find it too strong.
