MOO No. 2 Daily Shower Spray
When I first saw this recipe I was skeptical. A simple spray that keeps the shower clean, well it was either full of nasty stuff or really expensive.
It's not full of nasty stuff and it's not expensive either.
But best of all, it works!
I tried it in our main bathroom, the one the boys use, because cleaning the shower isn't their favourite chore and sometimes it's not quite done to my standard.
They loved the idea of just squirting the shower and walking away. I loved the idea of not having to nag them to clean it.
The secret ingredient is dishwasher rinse aid. I know, I don't use it in the dishwasher, so I did have to buy it. I bought it from Aldi - if this stuff wasn't going to work I didn't want to be spending a lot of money.
Then it's dishwashing liquid (full strength, not my diluted version), rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. That's it, so simple and inexpensive.
Then on bathroom day, the shower gets a spritz of Super Strength Shower Cleaner and a wipe over with the squeegee and the bathroom shower has never looked so good.
The glass is spotless. The tiles shine. It makes me smile.
MOO No 2: MOO Daily Shower Spray
Ingredients:
1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
1 tsp dishwashing liquid
1 tbsp rinse aid
Method:
Pour ingredients into 1 litre jug or spray bottle. Slowly add 3 cups cool water (slowly or you'll have bubbles going everywhere). Put the top on and gently shake. Your MOO Daily Shower Spray is ready to use!
To use:
After showering, while the tiles, glass and floor are still wet, lightly mist with the MOO Daily Shower Spray. Do not wipe off - let it work it's magic to keep those tiles and that glass sparkling.
Notes:
This is safe to use on non-porous surfaces like ceramic tile, fibreglass shower bases and surrounds. Do not use it on slate or porous surfaces, it won't work because it will just be absorbed into the slate.
Do not use on dark grout (black, dark grey etc.) as it will bleach the colour out.
It's not full of nasty stuff and it's not expensive either.
