Big Batch Budget Friendly Christmas Cards

Sending and giving beautiful handmade Christmas cards doesn't have to mean you spend hours and hours toiling over cardstock and paper and glue and glitter and embellishments.

This is my way of creating 24 gorgeous handmade Christmas cards in under two hours (it can take longer than that to choose your cards from the store!).

When you make your cards, you get to choose exactly how they look. You choose the colour, the paper, the sentiments, the decorations or embellishments. They are your own unique creations, and no one else will be sending cards like yours.
You will need:
24 card bases and envelopes*
2 sheets 12" x 12 DSP" (Designer Series Paper or patterned)
2-1/2 sheets 12" x 12" black cardstock
1 piece white cardstock 8" x 4"
24 small bows
Paper trimmer (or cutting mat, ruler and scalpel)
Adhesive*
Sentiment stamp
Ink pad
Dimensionals
I love to make cards (or anything really) in an assembly line fashion. It is so efficient, and I feel like I've accomplished a lot when the project is finished. Making the Christmas cards is no different and if you have a lot of cards to make, an assembly line will get them done in no time.
Step 1. Cut 24 pieces from the DSP measuring 7.5cm x 10cm. If your paper has a one-way or definite design, be sure to cut it the right way.
Step 2. Cut 24 pieces from the Basic Black cardstock measuring 8cm x 10.5cm.
Step 3. Cut 24 pieces from Whisper White cardstock measuring 2.5cm x 10cm for the banners. Stamp the greeting onto banner. Flag one end of each banner.
Step 4. Adhere DSP to Basic Black layer (all 24).
Step 5. Add the sentiment to the DSP layer using dimensionals. Use a glue dot to stick the bow to the side of the banner.
Step 6. Stamp your message to the inside of the card.
Step 7. Adhere the mats to the card front, being sure to centre it.
All done! Twenty-four cards in under an hour!

Now all you have to do is write in them, and address the envelopes.
