2025 Christmas Countdown Week 8 DEcorating Week
This is one of my favourite weeks of the Own Your Christmas countdown - decorating the house for Christmas!
I love to get out the decorations and plan where to put them. Some things go in the same spot every year, the Christmas trees for example, because there are only a couple of places in our home they'll fit. But other things get moved around, and of course, the colour scheme changes. Some of the decorations we used last year don't get used this year.
I love to go through the house with my notebook and jot down where things are going to go, and then sort them into rooms. It makes decorating go so smoothly, and it makes it a lot more fun if you're organised.

This week's tasks:
✅ Start to decorate for Christmas. Put up any outside lights you use, clean the verandahs and decks if they'll be used over the holidays. Wash windows and re-pot any sad looking pot plants or replace them with new potted colour. Wash down outdoor furniture you'll be using over the holidays.
✅ Write up this week's Christmas cards
✅ Buy, wrap and label the sixth lot of gifts
✅ Continue working on handmade gifts, wrapping and labelling as you finish them
