Mowing for Mulch - Wednesday 1st July 2015
My street is lined beautiful trees, but they shed a huge multitude of leaves and clog up gutters and drains and make the road slippery when damp. I have been raking them up for years, and then this year had a brain wave, I mowed them, yes that's right I set the mower at a slightly elevated height and I mowed the gutter and the road near the gutter and the job was done in a fraction of time it takes to rake them all up. I now have a heap of wonderful mulch for the garden and a clean gutter.

He mows the fallen leaves every autumn and puts them into a special compost pile he soups up with extra Dynamic Lifter so the leaves break down quickly, ready for spring mulching.
