Buy tomato paste in the can and never waste any! Most recipes call for about 2 tablespoons and unless one buys the very expensive tube or envelope, it can often go to waste. Not anymore! Open the can at BOTH ends. Leave one end in place. Wrap tightly in cling wrap and freeze. When you need some paste just push out enough for your needs using the end and slice off amount then return remainder to freezer for next time! Bravissimo!
