Here's a fabulous stocking stuffer for the kids: a tailor-made activity pack!

Great for filling the Christmas stocking, and perfect for keeping them busy too. I used to make these up and pop them in the Christmas stockings, and the kids would dive into them when we were travelling on Boxing Day, keeping them occupied and quiet in the car. Best of

They are easy to do, and fun too, when you tailor them to suit the child who's going to get it.

Best of all, they're better than anything you can buy, and cheaper! Yes, they are much better value than the activity packs you can get at $2 shops, newsagents and discount department stores.

The colouring sheets and puzzle sheets can be found, free for personal use, online. Try the Crayola website for some fun colouring activities. Then the rest is up to your imagination and budget. Little sets of coloured pencils can be found for 50 cents at $2 shops, books of stickers are about the same price. The bubble wands came from the party section at Kmart, but look around, they are in most $2 shops.
To make the compendium/folder you will need two sheets of patterned paper cut to 30cm x 24cm.

Fold them in half, being aware of the direction of the pattern if it is directional.

Measure up 5cm from the bottom of each sheet and fold up to form the pocket. Glue the edges down; I like to run a line of glue along the centre fold line too.

Fold the paper into a book. Lay one on top of the other; glue the back of the top book to the front of the bottom book - you'll have two "pages".

Then have fun filling the pockets with goodies.

Tie a length of ribbon or twine around the folder and slip a bubble wand under it to finish off the gift.
