Here is a simple sugar scrub that uses pantry ingredients, making it quick and easy.
It's great for feet, elbows, knees, hands - anywhere that gets dry and rough from everyday living.
You will need
3 cups white sugar
1 cup coconut oil
2-3 teaspoons vanilla extract
Step 1. Heat the coconut oil in a large, heatproof bowl for 10 - 15 seconds in the microwave until it is liquid, but not hot.
Step 2. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and mix well.
Step 3. Spoon the sugar scrub into clean jars, decorate with colorful twine or ribbon, and add a label with the list of ingredients and made-on date.
Ingredients:
Sugar, Coconut Oil, Vanilla Extract
This makes six 125ml containers, or four 200ml containers that aren't quite filled to the top.
I bought the tins from a local $2 shop and cut out a circle of glimmer paper for the lid, then created the label in Word using clipart and WordArt. It was printed onto sticky paper and punched out with a 2"circle punch.
It smells divine, and is lovely to use (I tried it on my garden-weary hands and it was just lovely).
